SEC Nag-approve na kay BlockShoals Bilang Binance Intermediary

Nag-grant ang Securities and Exchange Commission kay BlockShoals Technologies ng final approval para mag-operate bilang crypto-asset intermediary sa ilalim ng Strategic Sandbox program nito. Ibig sabihin, puwede na magserve si Binance sa Philippine users through local partner.

Magsisimula na ang 90-day integration period ng BlockShoals sa Binance matapos ang approval na inannounce noong Mayo 29. Ang Strategic Sandbox framework ay nagbibigay sa mga companies ng controlled environment para mag-test ng financial products habang may investor protection at compliance standards pa rin.

Si Binance ang global VASP partner na mag-hahandle ng service delivery, habang si BlockShoals naman ang Philippine-based intermediary. Lahat ng onboarding ay sasailalim sa Financial Products and Services Consumer Protection Act of 2022, kaya may legal protections ang Filipino consumers sa account setup at ongoing operations.

Ang sandbox testing ay expected na tumagal ng at least two years hanggang H2 2026 at beyond. Mag-ooperate si BlockShoals under regulatory safeguards sa buong testing window habang sinusubaybayan ng SEC kung paano gumagana ang crypto-asset intermediaries sa loob ng Philippine financial markets.
