BNB Chain Reaches 58 AI Agent Projects, DeFi TVL Hits ₱382.06 billion ($6.6 billion)

BNB Chain's AI agent ecosystem reached 58 projects across 10 categories by February 17, ranging from infrastructure and social platforms to DeFi, trading, gaming, and entertainment.

The growth accelerated following BNB Chain's deployment of ERC-8004 infrastructure on BSC Mainnet and Testnet earlier this month. The on-chain identity standard for AI agents already supports over 20,000 deployed agents across multiple blockchains. BNB Chain also introduced BAP-578 and the Non-Fungible Agent standard, with ChatAndBuild implementing BAP-578 through a Proof of Prompt mechanism. MyShell and Revox emerged as early AI agent frameworks on the network.

The expansion follows BNB Chain's 2024 strategic pivot toward becoming an "AI First Chain," attracting over 200 builders to its ongoing "Good Vibes Only: OpenClaw Edition" hackathon. Base currently hosts more AI agent activity through Virtuals Protocol, which registered over 21,000 agents across Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, and other EVM networks according to community tracker data.

BNB Chain's core metrics demonstrated strength during market turbulence. The network's DeFi total value locked reached ₱382.06 billion ($6.6 billion) at the end of 2025, marking a 23.6% year-over-year increase. Average daily transactions surged 30.4% quarter-over-quarter, while daily active addresses climbed 13.3%. Real-world asset value on the network jumped from ₱208.4 million ($3.6 million) at the start of 2025 to ₱115.78 billion ($2 billion), representing a 554.6% year-over-year increase and 228.1% quarter-over-quarter growth.

Prediction markets platforms on BNB Chain surpassed ₱1.16 trillion ($20 billion) in cumulative volume in late January, while the network operates as the third-largest by DeFi TVL through its multi-chain architecture spanning BSC, opBNB, and Greenfield.
