Boltz Launches No-KYC USDC Swaps for Bitcoin Users

Boltz CEO Kilian Rausch says Bitcoin and the regulated financial system have always been separated by intermediaries that demand custody and identity verification—until now.

The non-custodial swap provider launched USDC Swaps live at boltz.exchange, allowing instant conversion between Bitcoin and Circle's regulated stablecoin with no account signup or identity checks. Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol enables native USDC movement across Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, and all major Bitcoin layers including Lightning Network without wrapping or third-party bridges.

Bitcoin users can now off-ramp into the banking system through regulated partners like Stripe, Coinbase, and Bridge while keeping funds under their control until USDC arrives in their wallet. The team told Bitcoin Magazine the launch marks a turning point for Bitcoin users who need to reach the dollar infrastructure trusted by Visa, Mastercard, BlackRock, Robinhood, Revolut, and Nubank without leaving non-custodial infrastructure.

Boltz targets Bitcoin-native businesses handling payroll, vendor payments, and recurring bills, plus merchants accepting Bitcoin who want settlement options beyond holding sats. All swaps settle atomically with no custodian in the process. Users who prefer a stripped-down interface can access Bitcoin-Only Mode while still using the USDC rails.

The company launched non-custodial USDT swaps in March 2026, connecting Lightning Network satoshis to USDT on Ethereum, Optimism, and Polygon via Arbitrum and tBTC as an intermediate asset. Boltz has also served as primary bridge infrastructure for Liquid Network to Lightning swaps, integrated into Blockstream apps and other wallets. Integration into Boltz SDKs and the Boltz BTCPay Plugin will follow in May 2026.
