Coins.ph Offers 75% Fee Rebate on Gold Token Trades
Coins.ph's promotion pays rebates in USAT based on trading volume tiers, with the highest tier offering 75% cashback on fees for traders who execute ₱60,131 ($1,000) or more in XAUT volume through April 24.
Key Takeaway
Coins.ph's 75% fee rebate makes XAUT the cheapest way to trade gold exposure on Philippine exchanges this month.
Traders on Coins.ph can get up to 75% of their trading fees refunded if they buy and sell XAUT between now and April 24.
XAUT represents one troy ounce of physical gold stored in London Good Delivery bars. Tether launched the token in January 2020 as a way to invest in gold without holding the metal directly. Each token is backed by gold held by a custodian, with reserves reported and valued against market prices.
The rebate tiers start at 10% cashback for users who trade between ₱6,013 ($100) and ₱17,979 ($299) in volume during the promotional period. Trade between ₱18,039 ($300) and ₱36,019 ($599) and you get 25% back. The rate jumps to 50% for volume between ₱36,079 ($600) and $999. Hit $1,000 or more in trading volume and Coins.ph refunds 75% of your fees in USAT.
Only executed spot maker and taker orders count toward the volume calculation. Partially filled orders qualify based on the executed portion. All successfully completed Convert trades automatically qualify for the rebate. Corporate, institutional, and KYB accounts don't qualify unless Coins.ph states otherwise.
The timing lines up with bullish gold forecasts from major banks. J.P. Morgan expects gold to reach $6,300 per ounce by the end of 2026, driven by institutional demand and central bank purchases of around 800 tonnes. Goldman Sachs set a more conservative target of $5,400 per ounce.
Coins.ph will credit rebates within 15 business days after the promotion ends on April 24.
